12.66.قَالَ لَنْ أُرْسِلَهُ مَعَكُمْ حَتَّى تُؤْتُونِ مَوْثِقاً مِّنَ اللّهِ لَتَأْتُنَّنِي بِهِ إِلاَّ أَن يُحَاطَ بِكُمْ فَلَمَّا آتَوْهُ مَوْثِقَهُمْ قَالَ اللّهُ عَلَى مَا نَقُولُ وَكِيلٌ

12.66. – «Je ne l'enverrai avec vous, dit le père, que si vous vous engagez devant Dieu à me le ramener, à moins que vous ne soyez tous réduits à l'impuissance.» Et lorsqu'ils eurent pris cet engagement, le père dit : «Puisse Dieu être garant de ce que nous venons de conclure !»

12.66 . He said : I will not send him with you till ye give me an undertaking in the name of Allah that ye will bring him hack to me , unless ye are surrounded . And when they gave him their undertaking he said : Allah is the Warden over what we say .

12.66. Qala lan orsilahu maAAakum hatta tu/tooni mawthiqan mina Allahi lata/tunnanee bihi illa an yuhata bikum falamma atawhu mawthiqahum qala Allahu AAala ma naqoolu wakeelun

12.67.وَقَالَ يَا بَنِيَّ لاَ تَدْخُلُواْ مِن بَابٍ وَاحِدٍ وَادْخُلُواْ مِنْ أَبْوَابٍ مُّتَفَرِّقَةٍ وَمَا أُغْنِي عَنكُم مِّنَ اللّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلاَّ لِلّهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَعَلَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ

12.67. Puis il ajouta : «Mes enfants, n'entrez pas dans la cité où vous allez par la même porte, mais entrez par des portes différentes. Je ne puis cependant vous être d'aucun secours contre la volonté de Dieu, car c'est de Lui que relève toute décision. Je mets donc ma confiance en Lui, et c'est en Lui que mettent leur confiance ceux qui se résignent.»

12.67 . And he said : O my sons! Go not in by one gate ; go in by different gates . I can naught avail you as against Allah . Lo! the decision rests with Allah only . In Him do I put my trust , and in Him let all the trusting put their trust .

12.67. Waqala ya baniyya la tadkhuloo min babin wahidin waodkhuloo min abwabin mutafarriqatin wama oghnee AAankum mina Allahi min shay-in ini alhukmu illa lillahi AAalayhi tawakkaltu waAAalayhi falyatawakkali almutawakkiloona

12.68.وَلَمَّا دَخَلُواْ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَهُمْ أَبُوهُم مَّا كَانَ يُغْنِي عَنْهُم مِّنَ اللّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ إِلاَّ حَاجَةً فِي نَفْسِ يَعْقُوبَ قَضَاهَا وَإِنَّهُ لَذُو عِلْمٍ لِّمَا عَلَّمْنَاهُ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ

12.68. Ils entrèrent donc dans la ville en suivant la recommandation de leur père , mais cela ne pouvait leur servir à rien contre les arrêts du Seigneur et ne faisait qu'apaiser les inquiétudes de Jacob, car ce dernier savait tirer profit de la science que Nous lui avions enseignée, ce que la plupart des hommes ne savent point.

12.68 . And when they entered in the manner which their father had enjoined , it would have naught availed them as against Allah ; it was but a need of Jacob ' s soul which he thus satisfied ; and lo! he was a lord of knowledge because We had taught him ; but most of mankind know not .

12.68. Walamma dakhaloo min haythu amarahum aboohum ma kana yughnee AAanhum mina Allahi min shay-in illa hajatan fee nafsi yaAAqooba qadaha wa-innahu lathoo AAilmin lima AAallamnahu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona

12.69.وَلَمَّا دَخَلُواْ عَلَى يُوسُفَ آوَى إِلَيْهِ أَخَاهُ قَالَ إِنِّي أَنَاْ أَخُوكَ فَلاَ تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ

12.69. Lorsqu'ils se présentèrent devant Joseph, celui-ci prit à part son frère et lui dit : «Je suis ton frère. Ne t'afflige pas de ce qu'ils m'ont fait autrefois !»

12.69 . And when they went in before Joseph , he took his brother unto himself , saying : Lo ; I , even I , am thy brother , therefore sorrow not for what they did .

12.69. Walamma dakhaloo AAala yoosufa awa ilayhi akhahu qala innee ana akhooka fala tabta-is bima kanoo yaAAmaloona

12.70.فَلَمَّا جَهَّزَهُم بِجَهَازِهِمْ جَعَلَ السِّقَايَةَ فِي رَحْلِ أَخِيهِ ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ أَيَّتُهَا الْعِيرُ إِنَّكُمْ لَسَارِقُونَ

12.70. Et après leur avoir fourni leurs provisions, Joseph glissa dans les bagages de son jeune frère une coupe à boire , puis, sur ses ordres, un héraut se mit à crier : «Hé, caravaniers ! Vous êtes des voleurs !»

12.70 . And when he provided them with their provision , he put the drinking cup in his brother ' s saddlebag , and then a crier cried : O camel riders! Ye are surely thieves!

12.70. Falamma jahhazahum bijahazihim jaAAala alssiqayata fee rahli akheehi thumma aththana mu-aththinun ayyatuha alAAeeru innakum lasariqoona
