12.16.وَجَاؤُواْ أَبَاهُمْ عِشَاء يَبْكُونَ
12.16. Le soir, ils s'en revinrent auprès de leur père en pleurant.
12.16 . And they came weeping to their father in the evening .
12.16. Wajaoo abahum AAishaan yabkoona
12.17.قَالُواْ يَا أَبَانَا إِنَّا ذَهَبْنَا نَسْتَبِقُ وَتَرَكْنَا يُوسُفَ عِندَ مَتَاعِنَا فَأَكَلَهُ الذِّئْبُ وَمَا أَنتَ بِمُؤْمِنٍ لِّنَا وَلَوْ كُنَّا صَادِقِينَ
12.17. «Père, dirent-ils, nous sommes allés jouer à la course en laissant Joseph auprès de nos effets. C'est alors que le loup l'a dévoré. Mais tu ne nous croiras pas, même si nous disons la vérité.»
12.17 . Saying : O our father! We went racing one with another , and left Joseph by our things , and the wolf devoured him , and thou believest not our sayings even when we speak the truth .
12.17. Qaloo ya abana inna thahabna nastabiqu watarakna yoosufa AAinda mataAAina faakalahu alththi/bu wama anta bimu/minin lana walaw kunna sadiqeena
12.18.وَجَآؤُوا عَلَى قَمِيصِهِ بِدَمٍ كَذِبٍ قَالَ بَلْ سَوَّلَتْ لَكُمْ أَنفُسُكُمْ أَمْراً فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيلٌ وَاللّهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَى مَا تَصِفُونَ
12.18. Et ils lui présentèrent sa tunique frauduleusement tachée de sang. Le père dit alors : «Je pense plutôt que c'est un mauvais coup que vous avez monté vous-mêmes, et je n'ai plus qu'à me résigner et à implorer l'aide de Dieu pour supporter ce que vous venez de me dire.»
12.18 . And they came with false blood on his shirt . He said : Nay , but your minds have beguiled you into something . ( My course is ) comely patience . And Allah it is whose help is to be sought in that ( predicament ) which ye describe .
12.18. Wajaoo AAala qameesihi bidamin kathibin qala bal sawwalat lakum anfusukum amran fasabrun jameelun waAllahu almustaAAanu AAala ma tasifoona
12.19.وَجَاءتْ سَيَّارَةٌ فَأَرْسَلُواْ وَارِدَهُمْ فَأَدْلَى دَلْوَهُ قَالَ يَا بُشْرَى هَـذَا غُلاَمٌ وَأَسَرُّوهُ بِضَاعَةً وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ
12.19. Puis vint à passer une caravane près du puits. Pour se ravitailler en eau, ils y envoyèrent leur pourvoyeur qui, ayant jeté son seau, s'écria : «Quelle trouvaille ! Voici un jeune garçon !» Ils le dissimulèrent pour le vendre telle une marchandise. Mais Dieu savait bien ce qu'ils faisaient.
12.19 . And there came a caravan , and they sent their water- drawer . He let down his pail ( into the pit ) . He said : Good luck! Here is a youth . And they hid him as a treasure , and Allah was Aware of what they did .
12.19. Wajaat sayyaratun faarsaloo waridahum faadla dalwahu qala ya bushra hatha ghulamun waasarroohu bidaAAatan waAllahu AAaleemun bima yaAAmaloona
12.20.وَشَرَوْهُ بِثَمَنٍ بَخْسٍ دَرَاهِمَ مَعْدُودَةٍ وَكَانُواْ فِيهِ مِنَ الزَّاهِدِينَ
12.20. Ils le vendirent à vil prix, pour quelque menue monnaie, car ils ne comptaient pas le garder.
12.20 . And they sold him for a low price , a number of silver coins ; and they attached no value to him .
